BUILDING OFFICIAL/ZONING ADMINISTRATOR

RICHFIELD CITY CORPORATION
Richfield City is accepting applications for a Building Official/Zoning Administrator. Minimum qualifications and requirements include: ICC Residential Combination Certification (ICC Commercial Combination Certification preferred); State of Utah Building Inspector; Uniform Fire Code Inspector; High School Graduation with minimum of two (2) years of specialized training in building methods and practices related to commercial, industrial and residential structures provided through technical college, professional workshops, or university studies;
AND
Five (5) years of responsible experience performing above or related duties; two (2) years of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful applicants must have knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and building codes as they relate to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, materials, and safety standards; federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to building safety and zoning. Applicant must also possess skills in building code and zoning interpretation, public relations and contact, and report preparation; and must have the ability to read and check plans and evaluate quality of construction workmanship and materials. Starting annual salary range is $53,500 to $57,500, depending upon qualifications of applicant. Resumes and at least three references are required.
